Republic Relocates Cold Finished Division Headquarters

Republic Engineered Products, Inc. has relocated its Cold Finished Bar Products headquarters to its Massillon, Ohio, manufacturing facility, bringing the company one step closer to its goal of becoming the global leader in the cold-finished bar products industry.
 
"Our strong desire to continuously improve our customer satisfaction has led us to make this strategic move," said Jaime Vigil, President and CEO. "We believe the greater interaction between sales and manufacturing will strengthen our cold-finished products and service capabilities. This decision is in sync with our overall objective of maintaining Republic's position as the leading producer of special bar quality products in North America."
 
The Massillon location is the largest of three Republic sites that manufacture cold-finished bar. The other facilities are located in Gary, Ind., and Hamilton, Ont.
 
"Republic Cold Finished Division customers will receive even better service and will benefit from greater efficiencies now that our sales and manufacturing groups will be more closely aligned," said Michael Eberth, General Manager of Republic’s Cold Finished Division.
 
Republic Engineered Products is a leading North American supplier of special bar quality (SBQ) steel. With headquarters in Fairlawn, Ohio, the company operates steelmaking centers in Canton and Lorain, Ohio, and value-added rolling and finishing facilities in Canton, Lorain and Massillon, Ohio; Lackawanna, N.Y.; Gary, Ind.; and Hamilton, Ont. Republic employs approximately 2500 people.
 
Republic's Cold Finished Division manufactures cold-finished carbon and alloy bar products in rounds (0.25 to 6 inches), hexagons (0.25 to 3 inches); squares (0.25 to 3.5 inches) and flats (0.25 to 2 inches thickness and 1 to 6 inches width). The company also offers cold-finished bar in a variety of special finishes, grades and qualities, and performs various thermal treatments and other value-added processes. The product is supplied primarily to the steel distribution, automotive, off-highway and aircraft industries.
