Republic Announces New Chief Financial Officer

Sep. 7, 2006 — Republic Engineered Products announced that Joseph A. Kaczka became Chief Financial Officer, effective Sep. 1.
Kaczka joined Republic Engineered Products in December 2003 as Vice President of Finance. He served in the same capacity with Republic's predecessor companies since 1999, having added treasurer responsibilities to his duties in February 2003.

Kaczka was previously employed for more than 30 years with USS/KOBE Steel Co. and its predecessor companies. From 1995 through 1997, he was treasurer, and from 1989 through 1995 he served as controller, for USS/KOBE. Prior to that, he held various financial positions at USX locations in Pennsylvania, Alabama and Ohio.
Kaczka holds a bachelor of arts degree and a masters degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
