Report: U. S. Steel Sets Up New Ownership Structure for Tubular Operations
03/08/2016 - United States Steel Corporation has created a new corporate structure for its tubular business, establishing a wholly owned subsidiary that will own its tube mills in Ohio and Alabama, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
According to the Post-Gazette, the subsidiary will have two units, one holding operations that came with its 2007 acquisition of Lone Star Technologies and another that will hold the seamless mills and at its Fairfield Works in Alabama and in Lorain, Ohio.
According to the newspaper, the company said one reason for the change was that it would make it easier to pursue customers in the Middle East.
