Report: Tesla Sourcing Outokumpu Stainless Steel for Cybertruck

10/12/2023 - Outokumpu reportedly is providing stainless steel to Tesla for Cybertruck exteriors, according to the Bloomberg news service.

According to Bloomberg, the steel is to be shipped to Tesla’s Austin, Texas, USA, assembly plant. Bloomberg said Outokumpu’s participation is a shift for the steel producer as it’s known for working with automakers on stainless exhaust systems.
