Report: Some China Mills Receive Order to Contain Output
07/27/2023 - Some Chinese mills have been told to keep steel production to 2022 levels, reports the Reuters news service.
The order is significant, Reuters said, as China’s state planner publicly announced no-growth targets in the second quarter of 2021 and 2022.
“But no public announcement has been made this year, leaving the market guessing on Beijing's plans,” Reuters said.
