Report: Nucor Weighing US$300 Million Plant Investment
02/18/2020 - Nucor Corp. is considering its South Carolina sheet and beam mill, along with two other sites, for an unspecified multi-million dollar investment, reports The (Charleston, S.C.) Post and Courier newspaper.
According to the newspaper, the existence of the project was revealed last week when local officials gave preliminary approval to a tax incentive plan.
A Nucor spokeswoman confirmed that the company is considering a US$300 million investment at the mill or at two other Nucor facilities, but said a final decision has yet to be made.
