Report: No Deal Yet on Closed Wire Rod Mill Acquisition
07/11/2017 - The sale of an American wire rod mill remains on hold while the buyer continues to seek financial incentives from the state of South Carolina, reports The (Charleston, S.C.) Post and Courier.
According to the newspaper, the sale of the closed ArcelorMittal plant to Liberty House Group is taking longer than had been hoped as the Liberty House and state officials discuss possible tax breaks and other economic benefits.
ArcelorMittal announced the sale in April.
