Report: Nippon Steel to Visit With U. S. Steel Union Members
11/14/2024 - A Nippon Steel Corp. executive will be traveling to Pittsburgh, Pa., USA, to meet with members of union locals serving U. S. Steel's Mon Valley Works, reports the Bloomberg news service.
According to Bloomberg, the visit "indicates that the Japanese company is making a push to persuade rank-and-file union members that its US$14.1 billion bid to take over U. S. Steel will be good for the workers’ long-term prospects."
