Report: India Might Win Limited Section 232 Tariff Exemption
09/19/2018 - The Trump administration reportedly has agreed to exempt some Indian steel and aluminum from the Section 232 tariffs announced in March, according to The (India) Economic Times.
According to The Times, the exemption would apply to a certain percentage of imports applied against the average over the last five years.
The report comes as India delayed a plan to impose retaliatory tariffs on U.S. exports, including hot-rolled coil, apples and walnuts.
