Report: Europe So Far Has Committed EUR10 Billion to Steel Decarbonization Projects
04/10/2024 - European countries are throwing significant financial support to steel decarbonization projects, announcing EUR10.5 billion in grants between January 2023 and March 2024, according to Ukrainian think tank and consultancy GMK Center.
“Germany is the most active country in providing funding for decarbonization projects, accounting for up to 70% of all announced support projects — about EUR7 billion for five projects. This amount also includes EUR2.6 billion that is being discussed for allocation to SHS,” the organization said.
