Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. Makes Two Acquisitions

Massachusetts-based Admiral Metals serves end markets such as semiconductor, automotive, medical, infrastructure, aerospace and industrial through its eight service centers. Its product offerings include aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, stainless steel and steel. Reliance announced the acquisition of Admiral Metals in a press release today.
 
“Admiral Metals fits within Reliance’s growth strategy and disciplined methodology of acquiring companies that are immediately accretive to our earnings, and complements Reliance’s existing business by increasing our product breadth in specialty non-ferrous products. We believe this acquisition will enable Admiral Metals to leverage Reliance’s scale in order to capitalize on further growth opportunities while maintaining its strong brand recognition,” commented Jim Hoffman, chief executive officer of Reliance.
 
Headquartered in Arnprior, Ont., Canada, Nu-Tech offers tube, pipe, engineered shapes, and round and flat bar, according to a press release from Reliance.
 
Hoffman said, “Nu-Tech has built a respected and established position in the key markets they serve through their proprietary processes and quality certifications. Further, Nu-Tech supports Reliance’s customer, product and geographical diversification strategy and increases our product breadth in specialty metals.”
