The Houston-based steel plate distributor’s new chief executive is Ron Whitley, Ranger Steel’s former president and COO and the company’s owner.
The Houston Business Journal reported in 2007 that Whitley took over the company as president in 1984. Whitley’s father, Roy Whitley, founded the company in 1958.
Replacing Whitley in his role as president is Jeff McPherson. He has 33 years of experience working in the steel business, and he was formerly Ranger’s sales vice president.
Jochen Seeba, Ranger’s former operations vice president, will take over as COO. Seeba has been a Ranger employee for 21 years…
