Quaker Houghton Names New CEO

Tometich will take over the role from Quaker Houghton chairman, chief executive and president Michael F. Barry. Barry will retire at the end of 2021 after more than 23 years of service to the company, but will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors.
 
Tometich boasts more than 30 years of experience in a variety of industries, including executive leadership roles with specialty chemical manufacturer Dow Corning and industrial adhesives manufacturer H.B. Fuller. Most recently he served as H.B. Fuller’s executive vice president of hygiene, health and consumable adhesives.
 
In related personnel news, Quaker Houghton announced the promotion of 24-year company veteran Joseph Berquist to executive vice president, chief strategy officer and managing director, global specialty businesses. Berquist will now oversee the implementation of the company’s strategic goals, including M&A activity, sustainability goals, IT and digitization.
