Quad Infotech to Supply MES System to Nucor Steel Utah

The Utah plant consists of one melt shop and two rolling mills producing carbon steel angles, channels, flats, rebars, rounds and squares. The Quad Mill Operation System (QMOS) will manage planning and detailed scheduling of the production lines allowing for better visibility and coordination between all units.
Through its tightly integrated spec management functions, QMOS provides continuous and real-time quality control throughout the entire production process. Furthermore, the advanced billet yard management tools in QMOS will allow Nucor Utah the ability to optimize the management of its billets in the billet yards of both rolling mills.
Nucor Utah also receives the R-factor management tools of QMOS which allows the rolling mills to monitor and optimize the rolling performances as well as standardize the best rolling practices amongst all crews.
