Quad Infotech to Provide Nucor Steel Texas with Energy Management Solutions
04/24/2013 - Quad Infotech has been awarded an order by Nucor Steel Texas to provide a comprehensive energy management solution through its Energy Methods™ suite of products.
Energy Methods™ will provide Nucor Texas comprehensive tools to monitor all measurable energy consumptions throughout its melt shop and two rolling mills as well as other auxiliary units. Nucor Texas will also be able to set consumption targets for each process or product using advanced regression analysis tools.
Furthermore, detailed cost analysis and efficiency indicators are provided per product, crew or any customizable scenarios. The delay analysis tools also provide further insight to the energy consumption patterns during process delays and stoppages.
Energy Methods™ comprehensive demand management and response tools allow Nucor Texas to have full visibility of their real-time energy demand as well as complete control over curtailment scenarios as well as managing peak times as well as down days.
The alarms and notification features of Energy Methods™ allow creation of custom notification scenarios to warn the users of any target or demand breaches for quick and timely responses to such conditions.
