Qatar Steel Signs Iron Ore Pellet Supply Contract with Vale
03/12/2014 - Qatar Steel has signed an iron ore pellets supply contract with VALE.
The contract is for a period of three years and renewable for further period of three years.
Vale is the world’s largest producer of iron ore and iron ore pellets, key raw materials for steelmaking, and the world’s second largest producer of nickel. It also produces manganese, ferroalloys, thermal and coking coal, copper, cobalt, platinum group metals, and fertilizer nutrients.
"Signing the iron ore pellets supply contract with Vale will consolidate our business relations and existing cooperation, which go back to the beginning of 2013," commented Ali Bin Hassan Al-Muraikhi, managing director & general manager of Qatar Steel.
