PwC US Announces New Leaders in Industrial Products Practice
10/17/2014 - PwC US announced four new industry leaders in the firm’s Industrial Products practice, effective immediately.
Charles Marx will serve as the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) leader, Pamela Schlosser as the Chemicals leader, Michael Tomera as the Metals leader and Jennifer Fahey as the Business and Professional Services leader. All four executives will oversee cross-functional teams of professionals to provide comprehensive financial, tax, operational and strategic services to clients in their respective industries.

These new leaders bring valuable knowledge of their respective sectors, as well as the strong leadership skills and know-how needed to continue supporting our clients.”
Charles Marx, U.S. Aerospace & Defense leader: Based in PwC’s Phoenix office, Marx is a seasoned executive with a successful 30-year track record supporting Fortune 500 companies in the deployment of enterprise resource planning systems, performance management systems, financial consolidation systems, and MRO and supply chain systems. Throughout his career, Marx has advised both public and private companies on the full avionics aerospace supply value chain, from commercial airframes and components, landing systems, and engines high speed product development. He also led transformation programs including technology support systems for OEM manufacturing, OEM and airline operator MRO spares planning and execution and major cost take-out initiatives.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Accounting from Southern Illinois University. He was also an author of PwC’s report, Aviation’s second golden age: Can the US aircraft industry maintain leadership? Marx and his wife breed American Paint horses at their ranch in Northern Arizona and he serves as a leader on various American Paint Horse Association boards within the west region.
Pamela Schlosser, U.S. Chemicals leader: With more than 21 years of experience at PwC and over 23 years of industry experience, Schlosser has served as the lead partner for several Fortune 500 companies and is the Managing Partner of PwC’s Toledo office. She has consulted with the firm’s engagement teams and clients on a number of complex accounting and reporting issues, including business combinations, segment reporting, fair value related issues, restructuring and impairments. In addition to these roles, Schlosser was a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In this capacity, she was responsible for assisting registrants in resolving accounting and reporting matters, along with participating in the development of rule proposals under the federal securities law.
An active member of her community, Schlosser most recently served on the boards of the United Way of the Capital Region and the Boys and Girls Club of Central Pennsylvania. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University, is a licensed certified public accountant in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Ohio, and is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Michael Tomera, U.S. Metals leader: Based in PwC’s Pittsburgh office, Tomera has more than 20 years of experience providing tax consulting services to corporate clients in consumer and industrial products and retail industries. Tomera specializes in tax provision matters, restructuring for highly leveraged companies, accounting method changes, and various federal tax issues. Over the past five years, he served as the Tax leader for metals and will continue in that role.
Tomera has a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned a Master’s of Science in Taxation degree from Robert Morris University. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Tepper School of Business Graduate Program at Carnegie Mellon University and is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Jennifer Fahey, Business and Professional Services leader: With a career spanning 20 years at PwC, Fahey has significant experience providing tax consulting, compliance and tax provision services to a wide range of businesses in all phases of planning and implementation of various tax strategies. Based in PwC’s Milwaukee office, she focuses on providing tax services to manufacturing companies, most with an extensive international presence and has substantial experience in closely-held companies and their shareholders, multi-tiered flow-through entity structures and related transfer of ownership tax issues. She has worked in all areas of IRS examination support from field audits through tax court.
Fahey earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Marquette University and a Masters in Taxation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a licensed CPA in the State of Wisconsin. In addition, she serves as an Executive Board Member of the Marquette University Business Administration Alumni Association, and an Associate Board Member for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee.
