PSI Solution to Support Dofasco’s Slab Yard Logistics

Dofasco Inc. recently placed an order with PSI BT GmbH to develop and deliver a management system for slab yard logistics at their site in Hamilton, Ont.
 
PSI will develop Dofasco’s system on the basis of the vertical industry solution PSImetals WTM (Warehouse and Transport Management). The new system will support Dofasco in managing five slab yards at the headquarters in Hamilton. It will also support management of timely, optimized ordering of slab transportation for further processing.
 
Start-up of operations with the new solution is scheduled for the second half of 2008.
