PSI Metals Forms New Management Team
02/06/2020 - Metals production management software developer PSI Metals has elevated two executives as longtime manager Sven Busch steps down.
In a statement, the company said Busch is relinquishing his post after 22 years.
“PSI thanks Sven Busch who transformed PSI Metals from a German vendor to a global leader for production management software in the metals industry. He will support the company with his expertise (through the succession.)"
Meanwhile, Jörg Hackmann and Harald Henning have been named directors to the newly formed strategy committee, which will focus on accelerating the transformation of PSI Metals as it moves to adopt group standard technologies based on its state-of-the-art PJF3 framework.
Hackmann, who holds a graduate degree in mathematics, joined PSI as software engineer and was named the director of product and methodology in 2010. He was promoted to the PSI Metals executive board in 2013.
In addition to his role with the strategy committee, he also will take over as the managing director of PSI Metals GmbH and PSI Metals Non-Ferrous GmbH in Germany.
Henning, who holds a doctoral degree in applied physics, joined PSI as developer and project manager in 1988 and became president of PSI Metals North America Inc. in 2011.
As part of the strategy committee, he will be responsible for project execution and delivery, focused on providing customers with the benefits of PSI Metals solutions.
Hackmann and Henning will join managing director Thomas Quinet on the strategy committee. Quinet has served as a managing director since 2017. He’ll continue his responsibility for financials and HR and will focus on sales and customer service.
