PSI China Wins Important Steel Contract from Chinese Steelmaker

PSI China received an order for the implementation of the production management system PSImetals at JISCO TianFeng Stainless Company. Jiuquan Steel and Iron Group (JISCO), located in Jiayuguan City in the Gansu Province, is the biggest carbon and stainless steel company in Northwest China. JISCO Stainless is the stainless branch of JISCO with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons. The main products are stainless cold rolled and hot rolled carbon steel and a small amount of stainless plates.
PSImetals will cover the whole production process from steel making, hot rolling, cold rolling and plate pickling areas at JISCO Stainless. The functional scope embraces order dressing, production planning and execution, quality management and stock yard management.
As one of the first manufacturing execution system (MES) projects in the JISCO Group, this project will be managed by PSI together with the local partner Lanzhou Wanqiao Intelligent Science and Technology Co., Ltd. Both companies successfully worked out consulting and specifications in the past months. During the implementation phase, PSI will be responsible for the software licensing, delivery and customising, consulting and training services while WanQiao will manage most of on-site work such as analysis, data collection, tests and basic on-site customer support.
