Processing Line Commissioned at Ohio Specialty Alloys Plant
09/23/2020 - Specialty alloys processor Rolled Alloys has commissioned a new, ANDRITZ Herr-Voss Stamco-built cut-to-length line, according to the equipment supplier.
In a statement, ANDRITZ Herr-Voss Stamco said the line was installed at Rolled Alloy’s Fairfield, Ohio, USA, facility.
It said the line consists of a precision roll feed system coupled with a high-speed shear that can cut both long and short blanks quickly and accurately. In addition, the line allows for the application of paper or vinyl to the leveled material.
It is capable of processing 48-inch-wide stainless steel and nickel alloys in thicknesses of up to 0.125 inch. It has an incoming coil capacity of 20,000 lbs.
“Engineered and manufactured at ANDRITZ Herr-Voss Stamco’s facilities in Pennsylvania, the backbone of the line is the manufacturer’s industry-leading precision roller-leveler technology. The line includes two Precision Levelers®, both with the Punch-N-Go® leveler control system,” ANDRITZ Herr-Voss Stamco said.
