Process Pipe Fabricator Wins Order In Support of Pulp Mill Expansion
09/11/2015 - The process pipe fabrication shop at Finland's Caverion Group has won an order for 350 metric tons of stainless steel piping, part of a EUR530 million upgrade to a pulp mill, the company has announced.
The order, which includes prefabrication, material procurement and installation, is for Södra Cell AB’s pulp mill at Värö, Sweden. The piping will be installed at the mill's causticising plant, fiber line and cooking plant.
"The pipes are technically very challenging to produce, especially for the cooking plant. The prefabricated products are for the most part produced at Caverion’s own workshop at Leppävirta, Finland, which is specialized in the production of stainless steel piping," Caverion said in a statement.
