Primetals Technologies Receives Final Acceptance for EAF Quantum, LF for Wuzhou Yongda
12/03/2021 - According to the equipment supplier, Chinese producer Wuzhou Yongda Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. (Wuzhou Yongda) issued the final acceptance certificate (FAC) for Primetals Technologies’ EAF Quantum electric arc furnace and twin ladle furnace at a greenfield project for the production of carbon steels.
Wuzhou Yongda produces steel rods and coiled rebar and wire. The new greenfield site is located in Wuzhou city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The scope of supply included the mechanical and electrical process equipment and automation technology for the EAF Quantum electric arc furnace and the twin ladle furnace, Primetals Technologies said in a press release earlier this week. The company supplied the automated scrap yard management, automated charging process, automation of the oxygen injection and sand refilling, and level 2 automation.
