Primetals Technologies Names New Chief Executive for U.S. Operations
01/11/2018 - Primetals Technologies Ltd. has appointed a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries veteran to the helm of its U.S. operations, the company has announced.
In a statement, the company said that as president and chief executive of Primetals Technologies USA LLC, Yoshiharu Ikeda will oversee 1,100 people at 14 locations.
He is succeeding Satoru Iijima, who is returning to Japan to oversee regional operations there.
He joined Primetals Technologies in 2015 and served as the head of strategy and communication in the company’s London headquarters. Prior to that, he led the strategy team for Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery in Hiroshima and Tokyo.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in commercial science from Keio University in Tokyo.
