According to Primetals Technologies, the line, which can process around 1.5 million metric tons of hot-rolled strip per year, is part of the second phase of work on the company’s new facility in the Hebei province. 

The line is designed for ultrahigh- strength steels and can pickle strip in thicknesses ranging from 0.8 mm to 7 mm and widths from 750 mm to 1,630 mm. It can accept coils in weights of up to 33.6 metric tons. 

Primetals Technologies was responsible for the engineering and supplied all of the core equipment for the line. It also supplied the electrical and automation equipment and supervised installation and commissioning.
