To that end, the equipment supplier installed an advanced vertical precision milling machine that will allow for servicing of a broader range of mold sizes. The Mitsubishi milling machine also will offer enhanced versatility, accuracy and repeatability, Primetals Technologies said. 

Additionally, the company modified its electroplating line to allow its proprietary hot-drain technology to be used for narrow-face copper plating. 

“Used extensively for broad-face plating since 2010, this cost-effective and innovative process optimizes the application of nickel plating while reducing energy consumption and minimizing the environmental impact,” the company said.
