Praxair Expands Supply Agreement with Shaoguan Iron & Steel
09/03/2008 - Praxair China will build a large air separation plant as part of its new long-term agreement to supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon for Guangdong Shaoguan Iron & Steel Group.
Praxair (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has signed a long-term supply agreement with Guangdong Shaoguan Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd (Shaoguan Steel).
Under the new contract, Praxair China will build a large air separation plant that will supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon for Shaoguan Steel’s increased production capacity. The plant—the fourth Praxair air separation unit to be constructed at Shaoguan Steel—will increase Praxair’s total production capacity to 3550 tonnes of oxygen per day.

Praxair China has been supplying gases to the rapidly growing Shaoguan Steel, one of China’s key industrial enterprises, for nearly 10 years.

The new air separation plant is scheduled to go on stream in mid-2010.
