Posco Sustainability Report Wins Gold Prize
12/03/2009 - Posco’s 2008 sustainability report has received the gold prize for the 2009 Spotlight Awards from the League of American Communications Professionals. The company also won a bronze prize in the Most Creative area.
Posco’s 2008 sustainability report has received the gold prize for the 2009 Spotlight Awards from the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).
The report, published last July, was acknowledged by the LACP selection committee in the areas of clarity in information notification, ease of information accessibility, content development, creativity, and the CEO message. The committee is comprised of “world-renowned” writers, designers, and business investor-relations and financial managers.
Posco says that it was also the sole Korean recipient of a 2009 Spotlight Award, winning a bronze prize in the Most Creative area.

Since 2003, Posco has published the sustainability report to inform its stakeholders of achievements in environment, business, and society. The report has also won numerous domestic awards, including the Grand Green Prize from the Korea Management Association and the Grand Prize for Sustainability from the Korea Standard Association.
The League of American Communications Professionals, founded in the United States in 2001, conducts and releases surveys on investor relations and public relations communication materials of world-leading companies. Some 900 contenders from the U.S, Germany, Great Britain, and Japan as well as Fortune 500 companies vied in the LACP 2009 Spotlight Awards.
