Posco Selected as Most Admired Korean Company

Posco ranked first as the Most Admired Korean Company in 2012 after Fortune Korea and the Sungkyunkwan University Management Research Institute applied Fortune’s “Most Admired Company” survey method to Korean companies. The organizations recently announced the 50 Most Admired Korean Companies.

Posco was highly evaluated for building the first overseas integrated steelworks in Indonesia, focusing on securing resources in the Africa and South America region, and making efforts to reduce costs and strive for quality management for radical internal reform.

Posco also confirmed its leading position in social responsibility through volunteer activities around the world where employees voluntarily and proactively participate.

The 50 Most Admired Companies conducted a survey on the 10 most admirable companies regardless of industry and ranked them according to selection frequency. Posco ranked first, followed by Samsung Electronics, Korean Air, Hyundai Motor, and Hyundai Heavy Industries.
