POSCO Profits from Next Generation Inspection Technology from ISRA VISION PARSYTEC
08/26/2014 - POSCO and ISRA VISION PARSYTEC have forged a successful cooperative venture. ISRA VISION PARSYTEC was awarded the contract to install a SURFACE MASTER inspection system in the POSCO Pohang coupled pickle tandem line.
ISRA VISION PARSYTEC has created a masterpiece in doing so: Integrating inspection technology of this kind in pickling lines is especially challenging. In this case, SURFACE MASTER is used to replace older technology that has been in use up until now, which was no longer capable of meeting the customer's ambitious requirements.
At the time the contract was awarded, ISRA VISION PARSYTEC was able to set itself apart from several renowned competitors. Ultimately, POSCO made the decision in favor of the SURFACE MASTER because of ISRA VISION PARYTEC's good reputation in the industry and the outstanding technological characteristics of the inspection system itself. As a result, the company will benefit from a 100% optical quality inspection and the high return on investment with minimum overall operating costs.
SURFACE MASTER offers defect recordings in consistently perfect image quality, a promise that no other system on the market is able to make. An exclusive feature is the patented DualMode™ technology, which reliably prevents web breaks in the downstream line.
