Posco Meets with CEOs to Strengthen Carbon Steel Business
12/27/2011 - Posco recently hosted training and strategy sessions for CEOs of overseas carbon steel factories and processing centers.
Posco recently hosted training sessions for CEOs of overseas carbon steel factories and processing centers. The training was conducted at the Seoul Posco Center and the Songdo Global R&D Center in Incheon, for three days from Dec. 19 to Dec. 21.
Combined together with a strategy meeting, the event featured executive board members from the company`s Seoul headquarters including Senior Executive Vice President Cho Noe-ha and Executive Vice President Hwang Eun-yeon.
Also in attendance were 75 representatives from overseas production and/or processing centers that specialize in carbon steel and other strategically important overseas affiliates. To help encourage motivation, Posco CEO Chung Joon-yang hosted a luncheon during the event for the participants.
During the strategy meeting, the participants exchanged opinions about their sales strategies for the next year in an effort to overcome ongoing global economic challenges. They also discussed ways to expand downstream facilities and sales bases.
