POSCO Joins Offgas Recycling Research Effort
10/06/2022 - POSCO has signed on to a research effort that is exploring technologies to convert steel mill offgas into a plastics raw material, reports the Aju Business Daily newspaper.
According to the newspaper, the effort aims to develop an integrated process for synthesizing methanol from carbon monoxide in mill offgasses and produce olefin. POSCO will focus on technology to pull carbon monoxide out of the gas stream.
