Posco-IPPC Operating New Design Center in Pune, India
08/05/2011 - Posco-IPPC (India Pune Processing Center) has begun to operate an electric transformer design center to provide the highest possible level of customer satisfaction for small- and medium-sized producers of electric transformers.
Posco-IPPC (India Pune Processing Center) is now operating an electric transformer design center in an effort to achieve the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. The new design center is situated in the city of Pune, India.
Launched in June, the center offers free consulting services for small- and medium-sized producers of electric transformers. Included in the service is the provision of structural drawings for those without design capability, as well as sharing high efficient design know-how.
A part of the consulting services is focused on helping customers get the most from Posco’s grain-oriented electrical steel sheets. The center uses design software to help find them identify more affordable design solutions.
IPPC developed the idea for the transformer design center after realizing that many small- and medium-sized electric transformer companies had been producing less-efficient products because they lacked the design capability. The company notes that local providers of grain-oriented electrical steel sheets - a key ingredient to electric transformers - were proving unauthentic products along with authentic Posco products, heightening consumer distrust in related markets.
Providing total solutions for grain-oriented electrical steel sheets produced by Posco is helping IPPC to boost its market share. The company plans to continue its efforts to provide the right products at the right time based on a clear understanding of customer needs.
