POSCO Highlights New Steels at Auto Show
01/11/2016 - South Korea’s POSCO is attending the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Mich., USA, where it is unveiling its next-generation twinning-induced plasticity (TWIP) steel and showcasing its hot press forming steel, according to BusinessKorea magazine.
According to the magazine, the steelmaker will introduce PosM-XF, a next-generation TWIP with improved formability, along with its recently developed 1-gigapascal transformation-induced plasticity steel.
Also, the company will be calling attention to its hot press forming steel, which was first used in Renault’s EOLAB concept car, introduced at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The steel features improved strength and formability, the magazine reported.
