Posco Founder Passes Away

Tae-Joon Park, founder of Posco, has passed away at the age of 84.
 
Dr. Park founded the company in 1968 and was honorary chairman from 2002 until his death. Posco is now one of the biggest steelmaking companies in the world. It produced 35.4 million tonnes of steel in 2010.
 
Dr. Park also established Postech, the Pohang University of Science and Technology. And in 2000, he served as South Korea’s prime minister.
