Posco has created and started operation of the Posco Family Award, an extended version of the Posco Man of the Year to be awarded to Posco family employees.
The Posco Family Award selects an employee who has contributed greatly to the growth and advancement of the Posco family. It represents the ideal of Posco Family Management Practice and Development.
Posco says that candidates must lead the practice of Posco Family Management and the Global Posco Way, contribute to innovative technology development and Posco family development with exemplary results, and set an example for other members by enhancing the honor of the Posco family. The employee also must have worked for more than five years, with no disciplinary records since 2008.

Approximately seven persons will be selected, with four or less from Posco (operation or maintenance, technology development, management operations), two or less from affiliated companies, one from an overseas subsidiary, and two or less from outsourcing partners. The Posco Family Award grand prize nominee will be awarded with prize money and a medal along with a special overseas vacation, as will the other Posco family nominees.
Candidate applications for the Posco Family Award, being accepted until January 20, will be reviewed for selection by a specialized committee and official deliberation council, and be awarded at next year’s founding ceremony.
