Danieli will be supplying and installing the equipment for the upgrade. SN Seixal will receive 11 new housingless intermediate and finishing stands and Danieli’s K-Welding billet welder that allows for continuous rolling.

The electric-resistance welding machine will continuously feed square billet into the rolling mill at approximately 210 metric tons/hour.

The project will commence during the plant’s planned shutdown in the summer of 2020 and is expected to be complete within 1.5 months, Danieli said.
