Port Improvement to Facilitate Greater Shipments from Nucor Steel Gallatin
03/25/2024 - The Ports of Indiana agency has broken ground on a US$1.3 million project that will expand the shipping capacity of its Jeffersonville, Ind., USA, facility, according to Recycling Today.
According to the publication, the project primarily entails a new 1.2-acre storage area that will enable an Ohio River barge shuttle, ferrying steel coil from Nucor Corp.’s Gallatin mill in Kentucky to businesses with access to the Jeffersonville port in Indiana.
