Polytec’s Laser Surface Velocimeters (LSVs) are widely regarded as the gold standard for online, non-contact surface speed and length measurements of moving materials. The release of the new LSV Mobility Kit, coupled with the high precision LSV Sensor and LSV Data Acquisition Software creates a new mobile gold standard for checking & calibrating footage counters, as well as checking and analyzing process conditions, plant wide, without process interruptions.
 
The Kit consists of a small box with system power supply (120/240Vac), serial output to access data, and a key switch for laser on/off functions.  Data is also accessible directly from the sensor head via the standard (LAN) Ethernet interface and optional Ethernet cable.  It is compatible with both the LSV-1000 and LSV-2000 sensors and is easily transported within the plant or from plant to plant, when needed. 
 
The new mobility and easy access to data, coupled with the reliability and accuracy of the LSV system creates an environment of maximum efficiency in any setting where surface speed and length measurements are required.
