Plattco to Show AISTech Attendees Performance Advantage of Double Flap Valves

The new mobile showroom will include fully operational versions of the entire line of Plattco double flap airlock valves and will complement Plattco’s presence in booth 861.

The company also will be distributing a whitepaper, “Double Flap Valve Technology Critical to Efficient Melt Shop Baghouse Operation,” which analyzes the root causes of common disruptions to steel mill melt shop baghouse operations and outlines solutions steel operators can adopt.

The Plattco booth will feature a display of the company’s PCV-series double flap airlock valves, which have been designed specifically to meet the requirements of steel mill pollution control systems and other low pressure (< 2 psi) industrial applications. The Plattco pollution control valve series uses a proprietary design that eliminates bridging, jamming and material build-up, which can disrupt operations of steel mill baghouses where rotary discharge valves are used.

Plattco Corporation is a leading producer of valves that solve material handling problems in a wide range of industries. The company transformed the handling of dry materials in industrial applications in 1960 when it invented and patented the double flap valve to eliminate leakage with sintering and palletizing in the mining industry. Since then, Plattco has set the standard for industrial valves that reduce maintenance time, increase efficiency and lower costs in iron and steel, cement, energy and incineration, pulp and paper, mining, bulk powder and solids, chemicals, recycling, food, and other industries.
