Plant Manufacturer Oschatz Forms New Russian Subsidiary
12/23/2014 - Essen, Germany-based plant manufacturer Oschatz again expanded its capabilities with the addition of Russian subsidiary OOO Oschatz, based in St Petersburg.
The founding of the Oschatz Group’s 13th subsidiary was recently concluded and the first steps towards implementing operations are currently underway.
The main task of the new subsidiary will be to support the Oschatz Group in all of its sales activities, both in Russia and the CIS countries.
“Despite the current political situation, the founding went smoothly,” said Dr.-Ing. Jan-Christopher Schrag, managing director of the Oschatz Group. “The new company will help us improve our position on the Russian market and together we intend to implement highly promising projects.”
The decision to locate the new subsidiary in St Petersburg was taken in view of the excellently developed infrastructure and the geographic proximity to the parent company. As the second-strongest economic region in Russia, St Petersburg also offers a great deal of potential for international companies.
Oschatz is an innovative, globally operating, family-run enterprise with its main focus on plant engineering, energy recovery and power plant technology. With more than 165 years of experience, some 1,400 employees and numerous subsidiaries and representatives throughout the world, the Oschatz Group is a leading name in the fields of iron and steel metallurgy, non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical engineering and power plant technology.
