Pittsburgh Logistics to Manage Lone Star Steel Shipments

Jan. 18, 2006 — Pittsburgh Logistics Systems, Inc. (PLS) has been selected by Lone Star Steel Co. to manage truckload shipments of supplies and finished goods for Lone Star’s production facility in Lone Star, Texas.

Under terms of the multi-year agreement, PLS will provide a comprehensive supply chain solution that includes management of Lone Star’s truck operations and transportation. PLS will deploy its web-based transportation management system — eflatbed.com — to provide visibility, control and efficiency to Lone Star’s load consolidation and shipping process.
