Pittsburgh Logistics Announces Executive Appointments

Pittsburgh Logistics Systems, Inc. (PLS) announced the appointment of Robert Richardson as Director—Logistics Support and Mark Ohlund as Vice President—Technology Strategy.

In his new position, Mr. Richardson will lead specific business process improvement efforts, specifically in the Operations Department. Mr. Richardson brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry. Before joining PLS, he was a Senior Project Manager with FedEx Supply Chain Services. He previously held director and executive-level positions with several national motor carriers. Mr. Richardson earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Michigan Technological University.

Mr. Ohlund, in his new role, will be responsible for the development and strategic direction of eflatbed.com. and related technologies. Most recently, Mr. Ohlund was a principal at Cope Consulting, Inc., where he helped establish technology strategy for clients including U.S. Airways, AutoWeb, and MRODirect. Previously, he served as the Lead Technologist for the Straightline Division of U.S. Steel where he led development of Web and back-office systems for the purchase, processing, and maintenance of flat steel products. He has over 20 years of technology experience including 10 years at the senior executive level. Mr. Ohlund earned his B.S. in Applied Math/Computer Science and his M.S. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
