Pickling Line Builders Sign Cooperation Agreement
01/17/2018 - Butech Bliss, a manufacturer of coil processing equipment, and Nelson Steel Technologies, a builder and operator of pickling lines, have formed a strategic alliance to sell pickling lines in North America, the companies have announced.
The alliance formalizes a long-standing relationship and provides a framework in which the two will jointly bid on push-pull, semi-continuous and continuous pickling line projects.
“With Butech Bliss’ innovative processing equipment technology and Nelson Steel’s vast experience in designing and operating pickling lines, the combined expertise makes our partnership an ideal combination as a supplier of steel pickling equipment,” said Al Waigand, vice president of sales and marketing at Butech Bliss.
Under the agreement, Nelson Steel Technologies, which is a division of the Samuel Steel Pickling Group, will provide the process wet section; Butech Bliss will provide other components.
Samuel Steel president Rick Snyder said that the alliance is a natural next step for the two companies.
“Our history of working together can go back nearly 30 years when we were the first push-pull pickler to install Butech scrap choppers on our Cleveland, Ohio line. This agreement formalizes the relationship and will strengthen our marketing approach throughout North America,” he said.
