Parts Distributor Opens New Southwest Center

In a statement, the company said the new distribution center gives it almost 50,000 additional square feet of space over its previous Dallas-area center.

The company also said the center stocks approximately 50,000 items and houses a build shop, which offers fluid power conversion, gearbox assembly, cut rails and shafting, and valve assembly. The company plans to expand the shop’s capabilities by adding a bore-to-size lathe and offering a greater selection of shafting and rail stock.

"This new and expanded (distribution center) is an impactful asset that provides added opportunity for Motion Industries branch team members, especially those in the Southwest Group, to offer and deliver better customer service than ever before," said Richard Burmester, Motion Industries’ senior vice president and group executive of its Southwest division.
