Outotec Wins Order for Iranian Beneficiation Plant
09/01/2015 - Outotec Oyj has been awarded an EUR 45 million contract to outfit a new iron ore beneficiation plant for Iran's Khorasan steel complex, Outotec has announced.
"This order is another significant milestone for Outotec in the quickly developing Iranian iron and steel industry," Kalle Härkki, head of Outotec's minerals processing business, said in a statement.
Under the contract, Outotec will supply the plant’s processes and technology throughout the value chain, from raw material testing to concentration and dewatering. It also will be responsible for the plant's basic engineering and will provide advisory services for detail engineering, construction and commissioning.
The plant is being designed with an annual capacity of 2.5 million metric tons of pelletized feed-grade iron ore concentrate. It is to be commissioned in 2017, Outotec said.
