Outotec Finalizes Acquisition of South Africa's Sinter Plant Services
12/15/2015 - Outotec has closed on a deal to buy Sinter Plant Services CC in South Africa, the company has announced.
Sinter Plant Services provides spare parts and services to South African ferrochrome plants from its service center and manufacturing facility close to Johannesburg. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
"This acquisition complements our service offering and strengthens our position as a provider of life-cycle solutions to the South African ferroalloy producers,” said Robin Lindahl, head of Outotec’s metals, energy and water business area.
Sinter Plant Services has annual sales in the millions of euros, Outotec said. The company’s approximately 40 employees have been transferred to Outotec.
