Outokumpu Divests Welded Pipe Mill in Florida
08/01/2017 - Outokumpu has sold its stainless pipe mill in Wildwood, Fla., USA, to a Taiwanese manufacturer for approximately EUR25 million, or about US$29.5 million, the steelmaker announced on Tuesday.
The company said it is divesting the plant so that it can focus on stainless steel production at its facilities in Calvert, Ala., and Richburg, S.C. The buyer is Ta Chen International Inc., which is a part of Ta Chen Stainless Pipe Ltd.
Ta Chen International is a master distributor of stainless, aluminum and nickel alloy coils, sheets, plates, long products, tubes and PVFs.
