Outokumpu Changes Its Reporting Segments
02/14/2013 - In December 2012, Outokumpu completed the Inoxum transaction and implemented a new company structure with four business areas that provide the full range of stainless steel as well as high performance alloys.
In December 2012, Outokumpu completed the Inoxum transaction and implemented a new company structure. As of 29 December 2012 Outokumpu has four business areas that provide the full range of stainless steel as well as high performance alloys:
• Stainless Coil EMEA
• Stainless Coil Americas
• Stainless APAC and
• High Performance Stainless & Alloys.
The business areas are responsible for sales, profitability, production and supply chain management, and they comprise Outokumpu's reportable segments under IFRS. All comparative segment figures have been restated in the 2012 financial statements.
The business areas are located in different geographical areas, managed separately and are reported separately in internal management reporting to Outokumpu’s CEO.
