Oschatz Creates Oschatz Filtertechnology Subsidiary

Approximately 20 employees of Essen-based Paul Wurth will move to the Westendhof and take place on the first floor of the headquarters in January 2015. Oschatz will pay only a symbolic price for the transfer.

“So we generate new know-how on the sector of flue gas cleaning and offgas treatment as well as dedusting solutions. Herewith we increase our chain of economic value on the steel and non-ferrous markets, but also for waste to energy and biomass power plants,” said the managing directors of Oschatz, Dr.-Ing. Jan-Christopher Schrag and Andreas Albrecht. “We will integrate the employees of the new subsidiary in the Oschatz Group in January 2015.”

Oschatz Filtertechnology is the company’s 14th subsidiary; it will work independently and generate orders autonomously. An in-house filter department was a long-time desire of the executive chairman of Oschatz, Dr.-Ing. Hans-Jürgen Schrag. By the use of his good contacts the youngest entrant of the Oschatz Group was found. Corporately with Oschatz Filtertechnology the Essen-based plant construction company can offer even more performance and services from a single source in the future. In addition to the manufacturing of grate and the production of converter waste gas cooling systems, Oschatz now can also clean the cooled gas stand-alone.

Oschatz is an innovative company that operates globally in the fields of plant construction, energy recovery and environmental technology. With more than 160 years of experience, 1,400 employees, as well as numerous subsidiaries and representative offices all over the world, Oschatz is market leader for waste heat systems in the product areas of iron and steel metallurgy, non-ferrous metallurgy, environmental and chemical technologies.
